I am excited to embark on this journey as the President of the Rotary Club of Warren County alongside such a dedicated group of community members who work together to create lasting impact in our community and beyond. What makes this club so special is not just the work we do; it’s the relationships we build along the way.
If you are new to Rotary or curious about getting involved, I invite you to experience it for yourself. Our club is made up of people who believe in showing up, lending a hand, and building something bigger together. Whether you are looking to serve, connect, or make a difference right here in Warren County, you will find a place with us.
Rotary is, at its heart, about connection. Whether we’re working side by side at a service project, welcoming a new member, or simply sharing a meal together, those relationships are what fuel our impact. This year, my focus is on strengthening those connections within our club… because when we invest in one another, our ability to serve our community grows in meaningful and lasting ways.
Over the past year, I’ve seen firsthand what is possible when our members come together with a shared purpose. Again and again, we showed up—not just once, but consistently—to meet real needs in our community.
From preparing and serving meals to community members multiple times throughout the year, to organizing cleanups along Kendrick Lane, the Greenway, and the Shenandoah river, our members put service into action in ways that truly matter. We celebrated and supported our community by welcoming new teachers to Warren County, ringing bells for the Salvation Army, participating in Celebrate Kids Day, and showing up for many other events that bring our community together.
We also made a lasting difference behind the scenes, collecting school supplies and essential items for families, supporting youth through Early Act and Interact Clubs, and investing in programs like Backpack meals, Fuel for Families, and the summer reading at Samuel’s Public Library.
What stands out most to me is not just the number of projects, but the heart behind them. Each effort represents members who care deeply about this community and about each other.
Join us at a meeting, volunteer at a project, or simply reach out—we would love to welcome you. We meet at the fellowship hall of First Baptist Church the first 3 Wednesdays of each month at 7am.
Together, we will continue building strong relationships, deepening our impact, and creating lasting change in our community.
With gratitude and excitement for the year ahead,
Katie Tennant
President, Rotary Club of Warren County
